Day June 3rd

A "survivor" is anyone living
with a history of cancer - from the moment of diagnosis through the remainder of
life. Right now there are more than 10 million cancer survivors in the
U.S. alone. Communities around the world will recognize Cancer
Survivor's Day at some point this month. According to the National Cancer
Survivors Day Foundation call local cancer support groups such as a
local American Cancer Society offices to find an event in your
area. If you call today, June 1, you might find someone at the foundation
headquarters to check for an event in your area. The
number is (615) 794-3006.
It's estimated that nearly 40% of cancer survivors are
adults of working age. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission offers a
list of
rights guaranteed many survivors under the Americans with Disabilities
